Forbes has released its annual list of the Highest-Paid Actors and as Laura Desiree is about to tell us, the person at the top of the list is someone we know all too well Hi Laura. Hi Maddy, the list was packed with all the usual names but no one even came CLOSE, to the one and only, Mr GEORGE CLOONEY. Welcome inside Entertainment everyone. Let_s get this started Forbes list takes into account pre-tax earnings from June of 2017 to June 2018. And the amount of money Forbes says George Clooney earned in that time is incredible. A whopping TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY-NINE MILLION dollars And because you_re probably thinking that he hasn_t been in a big movie for awhile, you_re right: the vast bulk of that total came from selling his share of Casamigos Tequila The Rock finished in second place, setting a record for largest take-home from acting alone at 124 million. Will Smith finished Number Six on the list, which might explain why he_s feeling so generous He_s currently raffling off the chance to hang out with him... but I_ll let him explain... Man, I want to be living that guy_s life... but I_ll settle for a shot at hanging out Especially since the money goes to charity You_ve got until September 10th to buy your entries over at Omaze.com The Eagles_ album entitled Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 has just overtaken Michael Jackson_s Thriller as the best-selling album of all-time According to recent recalculations by the Recording Industry Association of America, that Eagles_ LP is THIRTY-EIGHT TIMES PLATINUM while Thriller is a mere THIRTY-THREE And if it strikes you as cheating that the Eagles got there with a _greatest hits_ album, you should know that Hotel California ISN_T on it and the album of that name is now Number THREE on the all-time list Madonna_s taken a lot of heat for her tribute to Aretha Franklin at the MTV VMAs. She basically made the tribue about herself, and after a long rambling story about her own showbiz journey, Madonna did remember to bring it back to Aretha... but as you can tell from the audience reaction, too little, too late Not surprisingly, the internet was unpleased. And so, the inevitable apology-slash-excuse. In the caption of an Instagram pic of her and Camila Cabello, Madonna wrote They asked me to share any anecdotes I had in my career connected to Aretha Franklin... I did not intend to do a tribute to her Which is good. _Cause you didn_t Sometimes, I really feel like we need Jon Stewart back on TV... and sometimes I think the animals need him more The former host of The Daily Show was in the news this week, for his role in rescuing two goats that wandered onto above-ground subway tracks in Brooklyn Specifically, he was seen near-literally shepherding them into a van for transport to an animal sanctuary he supports Just one more reason that when it comes to talk show hosts, Stewart may be the G-O-A-T I_m Laura Desiree, and that_s Entertainment
