Eila Apple has just announced the biggest revenue quarter of any US company EVER They had a record 74.6 billion dollars in revenue and a record 18 BILLION in net profit. Those numbers FAR surpassed ANY analysts expectations. So what led to the surge? iPhone sales of course. The company_s new larger-screen 6 and 6 Plus models were flying off the shelves. Apple sold more than 74 million of them worldwide in the quarter. And the momentum should keep going for a while because their highly anticipated iWatch is set for release this April.The forecast isn_t quite as sunny on the US economic front. Business investment spending has dropped for a fourth consecutive month. Economists say it could be a sign that slowing worldwide growth might finally be having an impact stateside. A strengthening American dollar has also made US exports more expensive. However it isn_t ALL bad news. Consumer attitudes remain upbeat and December saw home sale hit their highest levels since June 2008.And in Russia things are going from bad to worse. Rating agency Standard and Poor_s has just downgraded the country_s credit rating to junk status Half of Russia_s government earnings come from oil and gas exports. And with oil prices falling at staggering rates the nation has been pushed to the brink of recession. The S&P rating cut will make it much harder and pricier for Moscow to borrow money. Meanwhile the Russian ruble has hit all-time lows losing more than forty percent of its value against the US dollar. The series doesn_t just track Caitlyn_s struggles. It will also be looking at the impact her lifestyle change has had on the people around her. I Am Cait will begin airing on Sunday July 26th at 9pm eastern.If you aren_t in the mood for I Am Cait maybe I Am Chris Farley is more up your alley A documentary about the late comedian is set to hit Spike this summer. The movie includes interviews with many of Farley_s former Saturday Night Live cast members such as Adam Sandler Mike Myers and David Spade. Look for it to premiere on Spike on August 10th. Fox is hoping 24 fans will be in the mood for a spinoff The network is currently developing a new show that would star a lead male character who ISN_T Kiefer Sutherland. Showrunner Howard Gordon says the plan is to center the series around a male antihero who_s teamed up with a more seasoned female agent. And yes the plan is to have Jack Bauer make periodic appearances now and then. We_ll keep an eye on this one. The Gorburger Show is invading HBO The hit YouTube series is about an alien - named Gorberger - who takes over a Japanese talk show. He eats some of the crewmembers but the ones who live are forced to help him run his own show where he interviews interesting humans. HBO has ordered a pilot which was created by Silicon Valley star TJ Miller. Funny Or Die is on board to help produce and celebrity guests including Johnny Knoxville Moby and Ed Helms have been lined up to appear. We_ll finish up with your first look at the third season of Ray Donovan. The Showtime series starring Liev Schreiber as a Hollywood fixer looks stronger than ever now that castmembers like Ian McShane and Katie Holmes have come onboard. The former American Idol host is the new face of summer series Knock Knock Live. The premise? Seacrest walks up to a random person_s door rings the doorbell and gives them the chance to win a huge cash prize AND meet some major celebrities. Imagine your favorite NBA player showing up to play you 1-on-1 in your own driveway and you get the idea. Pretty awesome Knock Knock Live premieres on Fox July 21stBIG news for fans of Bruce Lee A long-lost passion project of the martial arts legend is being brought to life by Fast and Furious director Justin Lin. He_s struck a deal with cable network Cinemax to direct a pilot for a series called Warrior. It_s being described as a visceral crime drama tracing the path of a talented but morally corrupt prizefighter. Bruce Lee apparently spent years working on the story and the new project is based on a huge collection of handwritten notes from the action movie icon. The Twin Peaks reboot is alive and well About six weeks ago famed director David Lynch said he was quitting the show due to a budget dispute with Showtime. But not only is Lynch BACK the show_s LONG-awaited third season has been upped from nine to eighteen episodes And the best part? Lynch will direct the whole shebang We can_t wait to see what he has up his sleeve. How_s that for an exclusive club? Also in NASCAR drivers have formed a small council that will meet with the officials to help make the sport better. Denny Hamlin Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are among the handful of racers taking part in the new group. They met for the first time over the weekend to talk about a number of issues including safety. Hamlin says it_s the first time drivers have ever had an open line to NASCAR_s powers that be. Drivers and officials plan to meet again later this season.The Stanley Cup Final matchup is set The Tampa Bay Lightning will take on the Chicago Blackhawks. Both teams won dramatic game 7_s to advance over the weekend. The finals matchup promises plenty of firepower. Tampa and Chicago are absolutely loaded with stars and both teams play at a breakneck pace that should dazzle fans. The Lightning are young and talented but THIS anchor thinks Chicago_s experience wins out. I_ll take the Blackhawks in 6 Game one goes Wednesday at 8pm eastern.Speaking of cups a big congratulations goes out to Arsenal The English soccer club toppled Aston Villa to capture their second straight FA Cup trophy Midfielder Santi Cazorla took home Man of the Match honors as he controlled the tempo and led his squad to an easy 4-nil win. Arsenal couldn_t catch Chelsea in the English Premier League standings this season finishing third but things are looking up for their chances NEXT year. And baseball fans got some disappointing news this weekend. Bryce Harper - arguably the sport_s best hitter so far this season - says he probably WON_T participate in this year_s Home Run Derby. The 22-year old is having an MVP caliber year and is tied for the league lead with 18 homers. The reason he_s sitting out? His dad Ron has a shoulder injury and is the only person Bryce wants pitching to him at the Derby. The Delaware family were holidaying on the luxurious islands when they were allegedly exposed to the poisonous substance Methyl Bromide at the upscale resort they were staying at. The couple_s teenage sons suffered seizures and remain in critical condition while the father is stable but paralyzed. The wife has since been released from hospital. Morgan Stanley has agreed to pay 2.6 billion dollars to settle federal charges for its role in the housing bubble that triggered the 2008 financial crisis. They_re the latest major bank to pay billions to settle with the US Justice Department following in the footsteps of Citigroup Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase. The feds accused Morgan Stanley of packaging bad loans into mortgage-backed securities. Big US banks have now paid 130 billion dollars in settlements linked to the economic meltdown.Tech giant Apple is being forced to make a hefty payment of its own. A federal jury in Texas found the company guilty of infringing three patents with its iTunes software. As a result Apple has been ordered to pay nearly 533 million dollars to patent licensing firm Smartflash LLC. In a statement following the decision Apple said it intends to appeal the ruling.And a Washington DC law legalizing marijuana was put into effect on Thursday - despite a lack of approval from congressional Republicans. Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser had been warned by two House Republicans that implementing the marijuana bill would break federal law. At a press conference on Wednesday Bowser urged Congress not to overturn a bill that 7 in 10 Washington voters were in favor of. The new pot regulations allow people over 21 years of age to carry up to two ounces and grow up to six plants in their own yards. We_ll be right back.

Hi Eila Apple_s unstoppable quest for world domination is going well. They topped earnings estimates AGAIN and the stock in heading higher. If I would have only brought that thing when I was told to YEARS ago I_d be rich now You and me both There_s no escaping Apple_s all-conquering gadgets Here_s the story. Apple recorded a record second quarter ending March 28. They posted a mind boggling 58 billion in revenue and made 13.6 billion in profit. This is for THREE MONTHS PEOPLE Apple also now has a ridiculous 193.5 billion dollars of cash on hand. That_s more then goggle and Microsoft COMBINED Leading the charge was of course the Apple iPhone. They sold an astounding 61 million of them mostly in China. The only downside for the tech giant is the declining sales of the iPad although they still managed to sell more than 12 million in three months. Apple watch sales will be figured into their CURRENT quarter. Google is also trying to increase its stranglehold on the world of technology. The search giant wants to buy your innovative patents. Between May 8 and May 22 Google will allow patent holders to describe their patents and name a price theyd be willing to sell them for. Then over the summer Google will review the submissions and buy some of the patents. This is Googles attempt to clean up the chaos of the American patent system. It_s estimated that _patent trolls_ cost inventors up to 2.5 billion dollars a year by suing them for infringement.And in media news NBC executives have allegedly leaked details of their Brian Williams investigation in the hopes that by further disgracing the long time newsman he_ll resign and take a massive payout. The internal investigation - which we reported on Monday - found Williams lied at least ELEVEN times about his experiences as a war correspondent. Chiefs at NBC are apparently prepared to hand the former Nightly News anchor a golden parachute severance package of 20 to 30 million dollars if he walks. We_ll be right back.

She_s got a Naked News Bulletin including an update on the Flint water crisis Peyton the FBI has joined the investigation into the Flint Michigan contaminated water scandal The multi-agency effort also includes officials from the EPA_s Criminal Investigation Unit and a special prosecutor appointed by Michigan_s Attorney General. The probe was prompted by the contamination of the city_s water supply which exposed tens of thousands of residents to lead-laced water. There has been a confirmed case of the Zika virus being transmitted through sexual contact in the US The patient from Texas was diagnosed after having sex with someone who had recently returned from Venezuela. Although it_s not the first reported instance it could change how fast and how far the infection spreads. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released a statement urging anyone diagnosed with the virus to use protection during sexual activity. And a passenger was sucked out of a plane in midair after an explosion blew a hole in the fuselage A Daallo Airlines Flight was forced to make an emergency landing at a nearby Somalian airport. The man_s body has since been located and no other fatalities were reported. Officials have yet to confirm the presence of a bomb but initial reports suggest that explosive residue has been found around the damaged area.
