Here she is with a Naked News Bulletin. Laura, the sites are cracking down on a popular trend online called deepfakes. It_s AI-generated porn that puts celebrity faces on the bodies of porn stars. Thanks to free software like FakeApp, almost anyone can make X-rated fakes Gal Gadot is probably the most popular example, but everyone from Emma Watson to Daisy Ridley and Katy Perry have had fakes pop up online. Pornhub, Twitter, and Reddit are now banning the content, saying it falls under the category of non-consensual porn Deepfakes will probably soon be relegated to the dark web, which happens to be the focus of our next story 36 people have been charged for their ties to a worldwide cybercrime ring on the dark web. Authorities say it_s been responsible for 530 million dollars in consumer losses The Infraud Organisation is accused of selling stolen credit cards and passwords to criminals, who would then use the info to commit fraud and ID theft. So far 13 people have been arrested, with 5 in the US and eight other countries around the globe, including Canada, France, Italy, Russia, and Pakistan. A Superior Court judge in California has ruled in favor of a baker_s right to refuse to sell wedding cakes to same sex couples. Lawyers for Cathy Miller, owner of Tasties Bakery, argued that forcing her to sell cakes to gay couples violated her religious rights as a Christian. The case was filed by a lesbian couple who were denied service at Miller_s shop. The court says that if the cake had been in the shop_s display case, Miller would have had to sell it to them. But since she would have been making it from scratch, it fell under protections for artistic expression. A ruling on a similar case is expected shortly in Colorado Laura. It_ll be interesting to see how the courts there handle that one.It_s an interesting interpretation of the law, artistic expression. We_re all the same and should be treated as such, that_s my take.
