Nearly sixty million people could be affected by a massive blizzard that some are calling the storm of the century New York and Boston will be hit with up to three feet of snow by the end of Tuesday - along with freezing rain and winds reaching 65 miles per hour. Thousands of flights to and from New York Boston New Jersey and Philadelphia have already been cancelled and people are being asked to avoid commuting and to work from home if possible. The National Weather Service - not normally prone to hyperbole - is warning people of life-threatening historic conditions.Now to a landmark election in Greece where the country_s first left-wing government has been voted into office. The Syriza party won nearly 75-percent of votes cast. It_s pledged to renegotiate Greece_s crippling debt and remove rampant austerity measures. Shortly after the win Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras formed an anti-austerity coalition with the right-wing Greek Independents party. Tsipras told supporters he aims to write off half of the country_s 268 billion dollar debt but also wants to keep Greece in the EU.US President Barack Obama reached a groundbreaking nuclear deal with India during his visit to New Delhi. He and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi shook hands on a trade agreement that should encourage American companies to build nuclear power stations in India. The deal gives insurance to nuclear suppliers with plants in India in the event of an accident. The move should help open up billions of dollars in nuclear trade. Obama and Modi also reached a ten-year pact on a defense partnership that will see the countries work together on drone production and other military aircraft. I_m Katherine Curtis - don_t go away.
